Everyone knows how I feel about social media. I wrote the first book on how to unaddict yourself from it. It’s called Social Media Rehab and you can get a copy of it at SocialMedia.rehab. Since I wrote the book, I have maintained a personal page for the purpose of trolling people to use as content for this project and also to manage pages associated with brands I own or am involved in.
The age-old problem. Nobody is paying attention to what I'm saying.I can definitely say with ultimate authority that this is the absolute worst time in history to try to be heard. Moving forward or evolution is something that most people will never do. That being said, you are at a tremendous advantage in every way if you do decide to learn from your mistakes and evolve as a person so that you can move forward. This podcast outlines the pitfalls and things that are stopping you from moving forward.
As you know, I am not a regular user of social media from a personal standpoint. If I am interacting with social media, it is for a business purpose such as paid ad campaigns or content testing that ultimately has an end game goal of turning a profit. This podcast covers the results of my recent social experiment using my "It's Time to be Human Again" video promotion for Social Media Rehab.

Most people do not give a shit about what you are saying or doing. This is why we create products and brands. We are creating a shell that puts our best foot forward so that people will accept us for what we are not.
In this episode entitled "Spitting Hot Flames" I get fired up about various issues on my mind as well as take questions from the audience. Syke! I talk about some of my blog post topics like The Myth of Viral video and even the Blues. Just another entertaining and enlightening episode from yours truly.
The mainstream music industry fucked up a long time ago for a variety of reasons. Mainly because its leaders lacked vision and were too lazy to make changes while they had a chance. Napster destroyed what could have been a lucrative market for artists because the industry didn't litigate soon enough.
You hear all sorts of variations on the statement "What a privilege to get to do what you love for a living!", when you are successful doing something that you like or may be good at. There is a lot of truth to that statement but it's a double-sided coin. That being said, here are some thoughts I have on the curse of being successful.
I wrote a blog post on How Perfection is Killing Your Creativity. Basically the cliff notes is that you are not going to achieve any level of mastery through the pursuit of perfection. I know this might conflict with some commonly held beliefs, but that is the truth. That being said, I decided to create this top 10 list so you can move past being perfect in order to achieve greatness in whatever you do.
