It blows my mind how much people get the right things wrong.
If you go to a Home Depot in America all you see on the air conditioner aisle is geared toward inefficiency.
The window units, the portable units, none of these things are utilizing America's best and brightest technologies to make the world a better place.
Same thing with campers. They put these big ass glorified window unit air conditioners that are loud as fuck on top of the campers that make you not even want to be inside when they're on.
Yet at the Home Depot in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, nearly every appliance in there utilizes the latest energy efficient technology.
Tank less water heaters, advanced mini split air conditioning systems, all of this shit is readily available and a fraction of the price of what it would cost to get the same stuff as in the United States.
It kind of reminds me of the American diet. We basically have access to all of the food that would cure many of the illnesses that plague our society yet people continue to eat fast food.
As much toxic shit as I have poured in my body over the years, eating Chinese food last night is making me practically feel hung over today. What we put in our body makes a difference and the types of appliances and energy we use make an impact too.
I'm not even going to complain about it.
This just presents another opportunity for someone. It's a niche that hasn't been scratched. Importing tank less water heaters and mini split systems by the truckload could be a gangbuster, if whoever was selling them would educate people on why these systems are more advantageous than what's being utilized today.
I've seen this in a lot of sectors, especially with commoditized products. People have a real opportunity to educate their audiences through content marketing.
You could literally sell any widget that you were passionate about and write about it everyday in a new way and probably have a curb on the market. It's simple math. You're doing something nobody else does and putting your Unique skills and spin on things.
Just think about that. In the meantime, I did in fact just order a mini split air conditioner for my RV and I am excited to install it. It will allow me to work in the hot environments efficiently and also not have the drone of a jet aircraft while I'm trying to record video, etc.
I'll keep you posted as that develops.
Just a few thoughts on energy efficiency and whatnot. Have a good day.
